Ajeera is currently working as an Associate at S&A Lawyers LLP. She has been involved in employment matters and dispute resolution matters including debt recovery and claims for breach of contractual agreements. She represents local branches of international banks, state owned enterprises and private companies at the Civil Court of Maldives and Employment Tribunal.
Ajeera joined the firm as a Paralegal in March 2019 and proceeded to complete her 1-year licensing training with the firm. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a paralegal at ‘The Legal Care’ law firm and interned at the Attorney General’s Office.
NOTABLE MATTERS
- Appeared as the client's representative before the lower courts during mediations and Employment Tribunal;
- Prepared memos on the latest legislations and legal precedents which have been published on the firm's website;
- Assisted in a conveyance transaction which involved a vessel;
- Contributed to conducting due diligence which involved an island aquisition for tourism purpose.
