Prior to joining the firm he was the Assistant Commissioner General, Revenue Operations, in Maldives Inland Revenue Authority where he joined as Manager of Audit Management in 2011.

Ahmed Ali, FCCA, leads the tax advisory practice of S&A. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of professional experience.

Prior to joining the firm he was the Assistant Commissioner General, Revenue Operations at Maldives Inland Revenue Authority where he joined as Manager of Audit Management in 2011. He grew through the ranks of the organization and held positions such as Director of BPT Audit, Senior Director of Large Taxpayer Services, Director General of Large Business Department. 

Having worked at MIRA almost from its inception, Ahmed played a key role in formulating and implementing the tax laws currently in force in the Maldives. Further, with his extensive knowledge gained through resolving complex tax and accounting issues together with necessary academic and professional qualifications, he brings a unique blend of skills and perspective to the firm in advising his clients.
