Afaa is engaged at S&A Lawyers LLP as a Trainee Associate and works with litigation and dispute resolution team in various matters with a focus on debt recovery and claims for breach of contractual arrangements.  

Afaa’s works at the firm include representing banks in debt recovery matters, national and international companies in matters concerning contractual disputes and also attending to employment matters. She has also been active in the foreign arbitration matters ongoing at the courts of the Maldives. She joined S&A Lawyers LLP as a Paralegal during November 2018.

  • Assisted the local legal team representing a world leading hotel operator in matters related to foreign arbitral award enforcement;
  • Representing an international bank with a branch in the Maldives at the Civil Court, in various dispute resolution matters; 
  • Representing state-owned utility companies on employment matters and contractual disputes. 
  • Representing telecommunication companies, state owned companies and private entities in civil matters such as debt recovery and contractual disputes. 
  • Representing various private companies in matters related to contractual disputes.
